In 2019 BLT19 started to put on a series of exhibitions to showcase our work and appeal to a wider audience.
The first, a small and informal exhibition Killing Time timed to coincide with the Greenwich Book Festival (14-15 June 2019) while the second, called Keep the Door of My Lips: the Unspoken Cost of Work in Victorian/ Austerity Britain, was much larger and more ambitious. It juxtaposed contemporary art works with illustrations from BLT19 to illustrate continuities and differences in our attitudes to work. The latter ran for 6 weeks in the Stephen Lawrence Gallery, 11 July – 14 August 2019.
