The main advantage of #serial publication is also the enforced time discipline. You have to produce in as efficient a manner as possible. This is something we all know when we have to work to deadlines, but somehow it seems more acute when publishing serially.

The biggest problem with #writing and #publishing serially is the enforced #time discipline. When getting this out is only one - and a minor - task, inevitably short cuts have to be made. The resulting faults become much more obvious when each episode is free standing...
